TV & Wall Unit in Kangaroo Point

TV unit with display

This unit is made to fit the room, with the owner needed special requirements for the speakers and sound equipment. The brief was to keep it in style of the house but make it look timeless which we achieved with the use of mixed timber and stain colours – the detail on the shelves gives a nice modern look.

The mix of timber includes French walnut and stained black oak (that retained the visible grain). The insides of the cupboards are also finished in French walnut and the moulding is hand-made and flows from the top section to the floor.

Office wall unit

The owner wanted a custom unit to hide the printer and other office equipment – as well as house an array of books and memorabilia. The style of the unit was a simple but modern design – the doors are a panel door with drawers behind and the printer is on a slide out shelf for easy access.

The top section of the unit is built for display – achieved by the use of veneer and painted (2 pak) finishes. The veneer used was a French walnut for the backing panels and the shelves and the main frame was finished in a painted finish. French walnut was also used for the drawers behind the doors, to give a soft feel when opening and closing. Like the TV display unit, the moulding flow though out the piece.

These pieces blend with the house with careful attention to a modern, timeless style – a design to look like it was always meant to be there.
