Charlie from Mylie Construction contacted us about joinery project for his new client. The project was designed by Chelsea Jones at Daha Architecture.

Chelsea had a strong idea as what she wanted for her client in way of design and the final look, the timber chosen was American Oak.

The main kitchen back wall needed to make a grand statement and the kitchen island as the main force in the kitchen, with the timber bench at the end of the stone, and the leg detail that meets the stone and timber.

We worked with Chelsea on each piece of joinery to create this sunning home. Charlie from Mylie Construction are great builders, they worked with us and Chelsea on all the details throughout the project.

All the stone was installed by us.

At handover the clients were so happy with the finished result.

Shaun Locker has worked a long time designing his life time home. Shaun and his wife wanted joinery that blended into each space. Consideration of form and function were paramount while keeping the feel of an art space. Every detail was worked on with our design team to create Shaun’s dream home.

From the Le-Corbusier design handle, to the final colour, the Art shelves with rounded curved dowels, to the walk-in-robe, Shaun’s home has achieved so much within a small space.

It was a real pleasure to work with Shaun and Nikki (Shaun’s Lead designer) on this incredible project.

We were engaged by Lousie Walsh Interior Designers to help design and make high end joinery for this unique project.

The materials used were natural stone, brass and a mix of solid and timber veneer, stained to a custom colour.

The brass work had its own challenges with the organic design that the designer and client wanted, but the managed to get the end result they wanted and it looks amazing.

The joinery is all quarter cut Oak and sequence matched to achieve an even colour tone.

Kelly and Louise from LWID  have designed a beautiful home for the their clients. It was a real pleasure working on this unique project.

Our customer wanted a replica card table from the early 1900’s.

We used the hand lathes in the workshop and carving tools to recreate her dream card table.

The timber is Mahogany and it was finished with a matching stain.

You can see the original here alongside the replica.

New Farm Residency – Solid Oak Interior in Earth Black

This home has many varied living spaces which all came with their own challenges; the solid oak timber fluted paneling with each section of the paneling throughout this home being different so it flows around into another section, so each section had to be custom made. And there were to be no fillers used in the corners, which added another challenge.
The kitchen, panty and living spaces also all have complex curves and fluted paneling running into flat panels.
The upstairs office is a very large office space with plenty of thought into how to make all the space work, as more than one person works from home.
The main ensuite is just simply breath taking, the curved vanity adds a really unique touch to this design and is something I am sure we will see more of.
The Master suite with walk-in robe really make this home, the wall paneling and window seat fit beautifully with the Tudor window frame.

The architects wanted a black finish on all the joinery, and we had to make sure the oak grain was still visible, so we mixed up an earth black stain to achieve this and then finished all the joinery in a clear matt finish 2 pack.

This project was designed by Shaun Lockyer Architects and the build by CGH Constructions. Both a pleasure to work with.

Working with Shaun Lockyer Architects, we built all the interior and exterior furnishings. A beautiful, warm, solid timber look to contrast with the concrete construction. The curved kitchen island, wall paneling, built-in window seats, all the doors, cupboards, walk-in robe, laundry, and barbecue area were designed and built to complement and create a sense of unity throughout the build.

Wall Divider for Living/Dining

This space needed a divider and the designer did not want a completely solid wall, and a solid slatted wall was the solution.
The dividers are supported by brass pins to allow the LED lighting to run under each section, as well as letting the LED light come from both ceiling and floor.

The owner was taken away with the detail that we were able to add to this room divider.
The slats allow for the dining area to still be part of the lounge and fireplace and makes for a warming dining experience.

Owners Testimonal:

We engaged Finer Living to build our new home and Entertainment unit, with a sliding door to cover the TV when not in operation, this unit also has many other features. Piano black edge details, LED lighting, 2 pack seal, 3 m fireplace and the unit is floating. The level of detail Matthew and his team put into this piece was amazing, he thought about every section to make sure we were happy with the end result.

We also had a Wall Divider made, this divider is made up of tapered sections that acts like sails, with top and bottom LED lighting and each divider is supported by two brass rods. The detail is just amazing.

I would highly recommend Matthew and his Team.

Bespoke TV Wall Unit

The owner wanted a bespoke wall unit for the living room to create something special and unique for the whole family to enjoy whenever they were viewing the TV or just lounging.

Each piece of moulding is made by hand and each piece is glued as a single section.
The curve wraps around the sides but comes away as you open the drawer.

This unit has a tilt back wall in sections, the top is a poured resin top with a scalloped front detail to match the scalloping on the drawer section, also the designer wanted a 2 pack paint finish in different sections.

The owners are very happy with their stunning new wall feature.
