This table, affectionately dubbed the wine glass table, was designed by the team at Finer Living and was a true pleasure to work on.

The inserts in the top are placed in a pie arrangement using White Zebra wood whilst the round edging of the table is Solomon Blackwood (a very heavy timber with a black/brown appearance), cut into pieces which follow precisely each pie section of the veneer. 3mm solid timber inserts of Solomon Blackwood run along each leaf of veneer meeting in the middle off the table. The secret compartments were designed to keep the classic style of the vanity unit, but to add a modern usability factor through the push-to-open system.

Solid Timber Rosewood Bar - Main View

Finer Living was hired to design and create a stunning bar, featuring solid rosewood timber with numerous glass displays and mirror back panels, solid timber tops to a highly polished finish. A solid brass kickrail was included to give the ultimate bar finish, downlights and top canopy to create an intimate mood and plenty of storage for the necessary refreshments (space for two wine fridges).

Special techniques include raised panels, hand-grooved routers on the doors and bevelled mirrors in the back of the display cabinets.
