Wall Unit to complete the Living Room

September 6, 2017

Perfect fit to complete the livingroom. Our clients were wanting a tv/storage/bookshelf display unit in their main living space, they knew exactly what they wanted and we were able to provide a stunning piece of furniture that met all their needs.

We want to soften the unit, so we added a 5 Meter solid Iron Bark Timber top, (in one section, no joins).  The natural timber added to the colours of the space. A twist of colour was added to compliment the sofas and furnishings and a two pack Satin finish in a shade of blue beautifully completed the unit.

The top doors are all ‘push to open’, the side units and a mix of display with and without glass doors. The lower section all houses drawers and equipment DVD, Foxtel etc.

This unit adds value to the home and quality of lifestyle for the owners and their children. Our clients are very happy with the finished project.

Clients words:  “I was really impressed by the standard of workmanship of the Finer Finshers’ team.  I roughly designed what I wanted and Matthew suggested some enhancements.  The end product exceeded my expectations and we have to say that the wall unit with bookcases has really finished off our downstairs open plan area.  It has really brought it to a new level.  I couldn’t be happier.  Matthew’s team were very approachable and professional and I wouldn’t hesitate in recommending them.  For the quality of product and the impact it has made on our home, it has been more than worth the investment.”

This custom piece was ordered by Highgate House for one of their clients and both are extremely happy with the end result. The client is overjoyed and the piece has become a ‘WOW’ talking point for their new home.

This custom booth is five metres in diameter, made in royal blue velvet with over 150 buttons. The frame is made from 25mm ply and the seats have three layers of foam, to give ultimate comfort.  The curved back is made in one complete section, no joins were used.

This piece has given the home not just a place to relax, be comfortable and enjoy the company of others but it has given the home a unique special feel and richness to the space.

Hampton Style Extra Comfy Lounges

March 1, 2017

The owner wanted to bring comfortable places to rest into the home. It was requested to make these lounges very comfortable, so a blend of feathers and three different types of support foam were used to achieve this. The lounges are made from hardwood, screwed together and raised feet were used to complete the look. These Hampton style lounges really complete the spaces and look great, the owner is very happy.

Client Sourced Blue Gum Timber Turned into a Furnished Home

November 22, 2016

The client wanted to furnish their new apartment with bespoke pieces made from timber sourced from their property. They needed bedroom furniture, a dining room table, bar stools for the kitchen, side tables and a sideboard for the living room. They shipped the timber from their property in NSW in a raw state to Finer Living factory where it was milled and shaped into beautiful pieces of furniture that fill the clients home with warmth, style and functionality.

The client worked with Finer Living and John Croft Interiors to meet their design needs. Each piece has a lot of detail and all met the spatial requirements to fit into their New Farm apartment. Both the client and John Croft are very happy with outcome.

10 Seater Bespoke Dining Table

November 22, 2016

This unique table was started with a selection of timbers sourced by the client. The client worked with John Croft Interiors to design the layout of the different timbers and Finer Living were able to make the clients dream come true and construct their ultimate dining table.

The centre of the table is made from Red Cedar, with a 5mm edging of French Walnut timber. Huon Pine and the border from Oak completes the table top. The legs are also made from Oak.  The finish is a natural satin to highlight the different colours and grains in the timber.

Both the client and John Croft are over joyed with the outcome.
